We are seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Boiler Commissioning Engineer to manage and oversee the commissioning of boiler systems for a new build power generation project in the UK. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring boiler systems are safely and effectively commissioned to meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commissioning of boiler systems, including steam generation units, combustion control systems, and associated equipment.
- Develop detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules to align with project milestones.
- Coordinate and oversee functional testing, pressure testing, and system integration testing.
- Manage the calibration, testing, and verification of boiler control instruments, safety valves, and sensors.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and UK health & safety regulations.
- Provide technical leadership to commissioning teams, ensuring effective collaboration with other disciplines.
- Conduct fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of boiler system issues.
- Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, including test records, punch lists, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with design, construction, and client teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Boiler Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in boiler commissioning, preferably in new build power generation projects in the UK.
- Strong technical knowledge of boiler systems, combustion control, and steam generation.
- Familiarity with IEC, ISA, and relevant UK industry standards.
- Demonstrable leadership experience in commissioning projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
Desirable Skills
