Salary: £35,000 per annum (33% uplift for Nights) Overtime: x1.3 for Over 38 Hours Mon-Fri, x1.5 for Saturday, x2 for Sunday
The Role
Integrate Engineering Resources is currently recruiting for 2 Welding Coordinators (1x Days, 1x Nights) for permanent roles on behalf of our client, a market leader in the power generation, petrochemical, water and offshore sectors, for workshop based roles near Walsall. Due to the volume of workload, overtime is readily available during weekdays and weekends on Day shift, and during weekdays for Night shift.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Welding & Fabrication Manager
- Having the authority to stop production to correct quality problems
- Reviewing welding requirements
- Working with production staff to ensure the suitability of welders allocated to each project
- Managing and monitoring the welding system by performing random checks on welding parameters, pre-heats etc.
- Final Weld Inspection
- Inspecting all welding operations taking place and checking welding standards are maintained
- Issuing Weld Procedures
- Reviewing and managing NDT requirements on all projects
- Issuing PWHT procedures
- Issuing out and maintaining weld control cards
- Maintaining weld maps
- Populating document and certificate packs with welding related information
- Controlling consumables through the stores
- Welding stores maintenance / records / temperature recording
- Registering and recording all weld consumable certificates
- Periodically reviewing and managing welder qualifications
- Ensuring inspection reports are filed and up to date
- Liaising with Production Manager and Supervisors
- Working alongside third-party Inspectors
- Instructing other staff on findings and possible rectification
- Assisting in the control of calibration
- Responsibility to health and safety and COSHH
