As part of a major industrial construction project, our client is currently recruiting for a mechanical Quantity Surveyor on a 4 month contract. The role can be split between working on site and from home and will suit someone with experience in boiler making, plating and mechanical equipment such as installation of pumps, motors and static equipment e.g. pressure vessels and exchangers. It will include reviewing packages of work which have already been estimated, reviewing the current scope and providing activity lists and manhours for the differences.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent technical qualification
- Able to achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher)
- Min 5 years previous relative experience within the oil, gas, power or nuclear industry
- Knowledge of nuclear project management and estimating
- Excellent communication, teamwork, negotiation, problem solving and organisation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
