We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Temporary Works Coordinator/Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of temporary works on our large-scale construction project in Birmingham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, stability, and integrity of temporary structures and works throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to identify temporary works requirements and develop comprehensive plans.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
- Manage the design, installation, and dismantling of temporary works, including formwork, falsework, scaffolding, and other supporting structures.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate temporary works activities and ensure seamless integration with the overall project plan.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and other relevant parties to ensure safe and effective execution of temporary works.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor the implementation of temporary works plans and address any issues promptly.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices related to temporary works, and incorporate improvements into project procedures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including design calculations, method statements, and risk assessments.
The successful candidate will have previous experience on large scale construction projects in the UK. You will be working alongside Construction & Site Management to direct all scaffolding and access subcontractors, permits and all other aspects of temporary works. You will delegate and organise tasks to align with the temporary works schedule on site.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- SMSTS Certification
- Experience in construction management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale viaduct and bridge projects.
- Temporary Works Coordinator / Management / Supervision Certification
- CSCS Management Card
