Position: Site Maintenance Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Duration: 2 years
Hours: Approx 10hrs/day Mon-Fri, 5hrs/day Sat
PAYE Pay rates:
- Over 40 Hours Mon-Fri & all Hours Sat: £29.00/hr including £3.12/hr Holiday Pay
Responsibilities:
- Our client is currently recruiting for Site Maintenance for a long term project on an HS2 site in Birmingham.
- The work will involve planned preventative maintenance and repairs to welding machinery and equipment, lifting platforms and general plant.
- Execute work and test schedules so that production stoppages are avoided to the extent possible.
- Set up equipment, undertake tests, take readings, record and interpret data.
- Check completed installation for safety and controls or undertake the initial running of the new equipment or systems, either electrical, electronic, mechanical or hydraulic.
- Corrective maintenance: diagnoses and detects faults and implements procedures to maintain efficient operation of systems and equipment in the factory.
- Preventive maintenance: periodically inspects systems and machinery with the goal of noticing small problems and fixing them before major ones develop.
- Predictive maintenance: evaluates the condition of equipment by performing periodic or continuous equipment condition monitoring, before the equipment loses performance within a threshold.
- Reports to the line manager any misuse of the machinery and installations.
Requirements:
- CSCS card
- NVQ 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent qualification
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance background on welding machinery and equipment.
