We are currently seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor to support a new build power generation project in Bedford. This is a short-term assignment overseeing piping installation activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day piping activities on a live power generation construction site
- Coordinate pipefitters, welders, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with project drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Conduct toolbox talks, site briefings, and task risk assessments
- Liaise with site management, QA/QC, and other discipline supervisors
- Monitor progress against programme and report on issues or delays
- Ensure materials, permits, and access are in place ahead of works
- Support inspection and testing activities as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Piping Supervisor on power generation or energy infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, installation methods, and site sequencing
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – essential
- Valid CSCS card
- Strong understanding of UK HSE regulations
- Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with site stakeholders
- Experience working on new build projects preferred
