Rate: Range from £23.00 per hour - £41.81 per hour dependent on experience/level. All rates are PAYE inc hol pay.
Accommodation: £50.00 per day worked.
Working Hours: 10 hours per day Monday to Saturday
Role Overview
We are recruiting experienced Thermal Insulators / Cladders for a major new build power generation project in Scotland. This is a 12-month contract offering long-term, stable work on a high-profile industrial site. The role involves the installation of thermal insulation systems, cladding, and associated support structures on pipework, tanks, boilers, and plant equipment, delivered in line with strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install thermal insulation systems to pipework, tanks, vessels, ducting, and associated plant
- Fabricate and install metal cladding and jacketing using aluminium, stainless steel, or galvanised materials
- Install support rings and associated fixings for pipelines and storage tanks
- Erect load-bearing frameworks, supports, and profiles for boilers and flat insulation surfaces
- Fit prefabricated pipeline bypass sections and cut-outs to accommodate plant design requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, and install insulation and cladding materials accurately
- Read and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Ensure all work complies with site health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Maintain good housekeeping and work effectively with supervisors and other trades
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Thermal Insulator / Cladder on industrial or power generation projects
- Valid CSCS Card (essential)
- Experience on power stations, energy-from-waste, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sites preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and installation details
- Strong understanding of insulation systems, cladding methods, and support structures
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality
- Right to work in the UK
