Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to support operations at an active cement manufacturing plant. The role involves general labouring duties, housekeeping, and assisting skilled trades and plant operators to ensure the safe and efficient running of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general labouring duties across the cement plant site
- Assist with the movement, loading, and unloading of materials and equipment
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, including cleaning spillages and work areas
- Support maintenance teams during shutdowns and routine works
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely
- Follow site health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
- Assist with bagging, palletising, and packaging activities where required
- Report hazards, defects, or unsafe conditions to supervisors
- Work in dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environments
Requirements
- Valid CSCS card/CCNSG
- Previous experience in an industrial, construction, quarry, or cement plant environment (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to perform manual handling and physically demanding tasks
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends if required
- Good attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
