Job Summary
We are currently seeking experienced Steel Erectors and Riggers to join a major new build power generation project. You will be responsible for the safe assembly, installation, and rigging of structural steel frameworks and associated components, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity are maintained throughout the build phase.
Key Responsibilities

Erecting structural steel frameworks including columns, beams, trusses, and supports in line with engineering drawings and plans.

Performing rigging and lifting operations using cranes, hoists, slings, and other lifting equipment.

Interpreting and working from technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.

Aligning and bolting steel components into position using hand and power tools.

Coordinating with crane operators and other trades to ensure safe and efficient lifts.

Inspecting and maintaining rigging gear and reporting any defects or issues.
-
Adhering strictly to all site health, safety, and environmental regulations, including permit-to-work systems and lift plans.

Working at height using harnesses, MEWPs, and scaffolding as required.

Supporting lifting supervisors and engineers during complex or heavy lift operations.

Participating in daily briefings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
Qualifications

Proven experience working as a Steel Erector or Rigger on large-scale industrial or energy sector projects.

NVQ Level 3 in Steel Erection (or equivalent qualification). Rigging also accepted
