The Site Quality Manager will take ownership of all quality-related activities on site, working closely with the project delivery and construction teams to ensure that works are executed in line with contractual obligations, statutory requirements, and internal quality standards.
This role holds overall responsibility for site-based Quality Control, acting as the senior quality authority on site. The position reports directly to the Project Site Manager, with a dotted-line functional relationship to the Project Quality Manager to ensure alignment with wider project quality objectives.
This is a permanent position offering a competitive remuneration package.
Key Responsibilities- Take full responsibility for managing and coordinating all Quality Control activities on site, including leadership of the site quality team.
- Serve as the primary Quality Control representative on site, reporting operationally to the Project Site Manager and functionally to the Project Quality Manager.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant HSE requirements, applicable standards, and contractual specifications.
- Review, approve, and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, certifications, and quality-related documentation.
- Plan and oversee intermediate and final inspections, including IIS, FIS, MEC/TOP activities.
- Identify, record, and manage deviations, non-conformances, and quality progress through established quality systems (e.g. PIRS, LMS, ALP).
- Proven experience within plant engineering, fabrication, or construction environments, with exposure to boilers, piping systems, structural steelwork, or pressure equipment.
- Track record of working on EPC projects within Energy from Waste, power generation, or similar heavy industrial facilities.
- Recognised welding qualification (e.g. Welding Engineer, Welding Specialist, or equivalent).
- CSWIP Welding Inspector certification.
- Working knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing methods and certification standards (e.g. EN ISO 9712).
- Strong understanding of relevant construction codes, standards, and regulatory directives applicable to industrial plant projects.
