The Role
Our client is currently recruiting for a Quality Manager / Weld Inspector for a major Energy from Waste (EFW) power station construction project in North London. Procedure Compliance: Verify welders and procedures (WPS/PQR) meet strict codes ie BS EN
Quality Assurance Leadership: Maintain, improve, and audit the QMS to ensure all documentation aligns with power generation regulatory standards.
Pre & Post Weld Inspection: Perform pre-weld fit-up checks, monitor temperature limits during welding, and conduct final visual inspections for defects like cracks or porosity.
NDT Oversight: Coordinate and interpret Non-Destructive Testing (e.g., UT, MPI, RT) and oversee Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) where necessary.
Traceability & Documentation: Compile and review Quality Records, weld procedures, and material certificates to maintain end-to-end traceability.
Non-Conformance Management: Identify, record, and manage deviations, non-conformances, and quality progress through established quality systems.
