Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer with a strong electrical bias to support the delivery of water infrastructure projects across the South Coast region. Working closely alongside a major UK water provider, this role will support the successful delivery of clean and wastewater schemes within live operational environments. This position would suit someone who has progressed from an electrical or site-based background into project delivery and coordination, with previous experience working on water utility frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of water and wastewater projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Coordinate electrical and MEICA installation activities on site
  • Manage subcontractors and oversee site activities to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
  • Assist with programme management, procurement, and project documentation
  • Liaise directly with the client, site teams, and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards, permits, and RAMS
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to senior management
  • Support commissioning and handover activities where required

Requirements

  • Strong electrical knowledge and previous hands-on experience within industrial or utilities environments
  • Previous experience working on water industry projects, ideally with Portsmouth Water or Southern Water frameworks
  • Background as an Electrician, Electrical Supervisor, Site Supervisor, MEICA Supervisor, or similar
  • Good understanding of electrical installations, pumps, motors, MCCs, control panels, and associated systems
  • Ability to coordinate works and manage subcontractors on site
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
