Start Date: June 2026

Duration: 6 months

Location: North London

Shifts: 11 day fortnight

  • Week 1: Mon to Fri 7-7 (9 hrs basic, 2.5 hrs OTA Mon to Thurs, 7 hrs basic + 4.5 hrs OTA Fri), Weekend 7-4.30 (Sat 4 hrs OTA + 5 hrs OTB, and 9 hrs OTB for Sun).
  • Week 2: Mon to Wed 7-7 and Thurs 7-2:30 (6 hrs basic and 1 hr OTA)

PAYE Pay Rates:

  • Basic Rate: £27.60/hr + £3.21/hr Holiday Pay = £30.81/hr
  • OTA: £38.65/hr
  • OTB: £49.70/hr

Local candidates preferred but Lodge (£55.00/day) and Travel allowance (£20.00/hr) available.

The Role:

Our client is currently recruiting for an HSE Manager for a major Energy from Waste (EFW) power station construction project in North London. The ideal candidate will have proven experience within the construction industry, specifically around steel erection on EFW power stations.

Duties will include:

  • Lead and manage all site-based HSE activities from enabling works through to commissioning
  • Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and site safety procedures
  • Develop, implement and maintain project-specific HSE plans, RAMS, and site inductions
  • Conduct regular site audits, toolbox talks, and inspections ensuring proactive safety management
  • Report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, leading investigations where required
  • Liaise closely with the Principal Contractor, Client team, and supply chain to ensure aligned safety culture
  • Produce monthly HSE performance reports and KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement and behavioural safety across all trades on site

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma
  • CCNSG Safety Passport minimum requirements
  • EFW power station construction experience
