This is a dual business development role, dividing time equally between two complementary areas of the business. The position focuses on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across both disciplines, primarily within the UK market, with some international exposure.

Discipline 1: Industrial Electromechanical Erection & MaintenanceThis discipline focuses on industrial electromechanical erection and maintenance works, primarily supporting EPCâled projects within the UK.
- Industrial steel chimney erection and maintenance.
- Experience within Oil & Gas and Power generation projects.
- Understanding of the UK industrial erection supply chain, including EPC contractors, subcontractors, and associated services (e.g. scaffolding, insulation, cranes).
- Familiarity with relevant UK regulations, agreements, and industry frameworks impacting industrial erection.
- Strong awareness of the market landscape and key competitors.
- Ability to prepare quotations and estimates, including labour rates and local cost considerations.
This discipline focuses on specialist civil engineering works relating to tall concrete structures, predominantly in the UK, with some overseas projects.
- Civil engineering experience on large industrial projects, particularly within petrochemical and power sectors.
- Knowledge of modern construction techniques, specifically slipform and jumpform systems.
- Experience with tall concrete structures such as chimneys, silos, lift shafts, or similar assets.
- Understanding of internal installations within tall concrete structures is advantageous.
- Ability to prepare estimates and quotations for specialist civil engineering works.
- Research & analysis: Identify new customers, markets, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
- Lead generation: Generate new leads through networking, cold outreach, events, and tender opportunities.
- Client management: Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Sales & strategy: Develop sales strategies, prepare proposals, pricing, and deliver presentations.
- Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations and support contract development.
- Performance monitoring: Forecast sales activity and report progress against targets to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales, marketing, and operational teams.
