The Role: We are looking for experienced Pipe Welders for workshop-based work in North Yorkshire. This is a long-term opportunity starting in June, with weld tests and interviews scheduled over the next couple of weeks. The right operative will be proficient in MAG welding on pipe, with previous 6G coding/experience.
Requirements:
- Proficient in MAG welding (135, 136 & 138) on pipe, including flux core (FCAW)
- NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding or comparable hands-on industry experience
- Accurately read and follow welding specifications and technical procedures
- Carry out high-standard fillet and butt welds, including both single and multi-pass, with partial or full penetration as required
- Use pre-heating and post-heating equipment correctly, adhering to safe working practices and welding sequences
- Inspect and carry out weld repairs while maintaining quality and ensuring full traceability of work
