We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. This role involves hands-on mechanical maintenance, fabrication work, and ensuring optimal building performance across multiple FM sites. You will be part of a 10-person team with 7 engineers, working on both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day mechanical maintenance and repairs across multiple facility management sites
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to industry standards
  • Respond to reactive maintenance calls efficiently and effectively
  • Undertake mechanical and fabric-related tasks including minor fabrication work
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Work flexibly across shift patterns to meet operational requirements

Essential Requirements

Qualifications & Certifications: City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification

Experience: Proven experience in facilities management environments, hands-on experience with mechanical systems maintenance, background in fabrication work, track record of PPM and reactive maintenance delivery

Desirable Requirements

  • Asbestos Awareness (Level 1) certification
  • PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) certification
  • IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification
