Project Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of JLL, a global real estate services firm that provides comprehensive, integrated property-related expertise, including management, transaction and advisory services, to investors and occupiers locally, regionally and globally. Project Services delivers design & build solutions using a network of partner trade package subcontractors and suppliers.

The Project Manager is responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent projects for various sites. As part of the role, the Operations Lead must ensure that the projects are delivered to meet JLL & clients' standards in regard to health, safety, quality, cost and programme, whilst complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation. This includes compliance with MS18 and CS06 standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execution of projects with potential values between £20k to £5m.
  • Providing health and safety leadership to site delivery teams and promoting behavioural safety improvements.
  • Supporting the project risk management process and ensuring effective controls are established for safe and timely project delivery.
  • Managing projects in accordance with the requirements of the NEC3 Framework Contract.
  • Supporting project opportunities to realise, maintain and improve commercial project performance.
  • Leading the production and risk management of quotations and estimates.
  • Maintaining effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company's reputation at project level.
  • Ensuring suppliers, sub-contractors and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Engineering standards.
  • Working closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable economic and constructable designs are produced.
  • Liaising with client Project Managers and their appointed consultant Project Managers to ensure compliance with MS18, CS06 and the current delivery programme and cost plan.
  • Ensuring a high level of service is delivered and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to the agreed contract programme and to a high standard complying with relevant British Standards, codes of practice and client standards.
  • Providing knowledge and support to ensure the quality and performance of the works.
  • Ensuring projects are completed snag and defect free.
  • Delivering post completion deliverables such as final accounts and Operation & Maintenance information within contracted timescales.
  • Communicating using appropriate styles and methods.
  • Projecting a professional demeanour with colleagues, clients and their customers.
  • Keeping Sharepoint project status up to date across all projects.
  • Keeping project related CVR information up to date across all projects.
  • Clearly communicating work tasks and winning the commitment of others to achieving high levels of operational performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • SSSTS / SMSTS
  • City & Guilds / NVQ construction related qualifications.
  • JIB / BESAC
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid
  • 10 years experience in the role of a Senior Project Manager or above.
  • Sound level of administration and organisational skills.
  • Practical experience within the building/construction/building services industries.
  • Experience of the management of Health and Safety across multiple sites.
  • Experience of working in occupied buildings/campuses.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages within Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of programming techniques and ability to write programmes.
  • Experience of the use of Asta / Microsoft Projects / Primavera programming software.
  • Experience in the use of Fieldview or similar tablet-based quality assurance software.
