Our National Engineering team is the engine behind that promise — and we're looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to lead our South mobile engineering team. If you blend genuine technical expertise with the leadership to bring out the best in a team, this role was built for you.

  • Lead and grow your team. Mentor and develop mobile engineers, allocate work by skill and urgency, cross-train Technical Supervisors, and build a culture centred on safety, quality and outstanding service.
  • Own service delivery. Keep PPM schedules on track, coordinate reactive callouts, monitor completion and first-time-fix metrics, and lead twice-daily CEC performance calls.
  • Plan and optimise the work. Review technician diaries daily, batch work orders for efficiency, and partner with the CEC to hit every SLA and KPI.
  • Set the technical standard. Approve work specifications and method statements, provide technical guidance on complex jobs, ensure full H&S and regulatory compliance, create RAMS in Hands HQ, and manage parts, access and qualifications for quoted works.
  • Champion health & safety. Enforce a strong safety culture, carry out risk assessments, complete at least two technician audits monthly, investigate incidents, and ensure all certifications are current.
  • Keep the operation covered. Manage OOH rotas and on-call escalations, cover the Engineering Manager during absence, induct and train new starters, and maintain full certification compliance across the team.
