JLL WPM is seeking a dedicated and proactive Compliance Advisor to join our team. The Compliance Advisor will assist in overseeing and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment across various sites within the REM portfolio. The successful candidate will be from a statutory compliance background with industry experience to support the requirements of the role. They will have strong knowledge of compliance standards, industry best practices, and building safety requirements. The candidate is required to have excellent communication skills and the ability to monitor compliance management systems.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards within the building services industry.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of our facilities, equipment, logbooks, and operations to identify any compliance gaps or areas for improvement.
- Support site teams in a “lead from the front” approach to closing out compliance gaps/findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business support functions to ensure that compliance protocols are understood and followed.
- Provide guidance to employees on completion of logbooks.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Compliance Manager on compliance activities.
- Act as the point of contact for any compliance-related inquiries.
Understanding requirements or actions relating to the Building Safety Act.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Sound compliance knowledge with an understanding of the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations, British Standards, and industry best practice.
- Experience in a similar role required.
- Have membership of a professional body, minimum IOSH Managing Safely.
- Proven track record of successfully maintaining compliance management systems.
- You will require applicable legislation knowledge, have hands-on experience, and you will be confident liaising with site teams and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient with MS applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
