We are seeking an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer for Integral Cooling Technology to cover client sites within North East as part of an exciting expansion for our business unit.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out PPM on all types of heavy commercial and industrial refrigeration systems utilising all types of refrigerants – ammonia, F-Gas (HFC and HFO), carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.
- Reactive service including fault-finding mechanical, electrical and control systems, including performing emergency standby rota duties.
- Compressor repairs and overhauls.
- Leak testing.
- Pressure testing.
- Refrigerant recovery and charging.
- Ability to operate on own initiative and as part of a team to effect attainment of agreed targets and objectives.
- Ability to develop a good understanding of our customers' business requirements and operations.
- Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken – a 'can-do' attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel and Word.
- Completion of all relevant documentation to a high standard.
- General plant room and equipment housekeeping duties.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Ideally completed a formal apprenticeship in Refrigeration.
- CITB Safety Passport.
- City & Guilds 2078 / 2079 F-Gas Refrigerant Handling / CITB Ammonia Handling Certificate / A3 Refrigerant Handling / CO2 Refrigerant Handling.
- City & Guilds 207 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
- NVQ1, 2 & 3 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
- Pressure Testing Competency.
- Specific Compressor Manufacturers Training Courses.
- Controls and Strategy experience.
