The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced building fabric engineer within our team on the Liverpool University Contract. You should possess great hand dexterity and an eye for detail, being able to work with little supervision and follow all health and safety standards. We also expect you to have good knowledge of material properties and understanding of fabric-based construction.
Day to Day
- General Building Fabric Repairs
- Roofing and 2nd Fix Repair
- Calculate the size and amount of material needed after performing all necessary measurements
- Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (such as fiberglass) according to measurements
- Review places and conduct repairs or maintenance
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience of working in a similar position
- Relevant City and Guilds/NVQ Qualification
- Significant experience in working with carpentry materials and using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (such as powered saws, hammers, rulers and so on)
- In-depth knowledge of techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Good ability to understand technical documents and drawings and follow safety and other guidelines
- Proven practical experience within the building service industry

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing a high-quality service
- Willing to work flexibly and to carry out overtime when required
