JLL is seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Technician for workplace management operations at a prestigious investment company's London HQ in the City. Provides critical technical support across building systems and facilities, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional workplace experience for occupiers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Maintenance & Operations
    • Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fabric maintenance.
    • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify potential issues.
    • Respond promptly to building management system alarms and alerts.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
    • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Building Services Management
    • Monitor and optimize performance of critical building systems (lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, power distribution).
    • Conduct regular checks of plant rooms, riser cupboards, and mechanical equipment.
    • Support energy management initiatives by monitoring consumption and identifying efficiency improvements.
    • Coordinate with specialist contractors for complex repairs or statutory maintenance.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, client procedures, and JLL standards.
    • Conduct safety checks and assist with fire alarm testing and emergency lighting checks.
    • Maintain awareness of building emergency procedures and participate in emergency response protocols.
    • Complete risk assessments and method statements for maintenance tasks.
  • Client & Occupier Support
    • Provide excellent customer service to building occupiers.
    • Respond professionally to facilities requests and technical queries.
    • Work collaboratively with the workplace management team.
    • Participate in regular client meetings and service improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain visible presence throughout the facility with proactive problem-solving.
  • Shift Operations
    • Work rotating shift pattern including early mornings, late evenings, and weekend shifts.
    • Participate in handover procedures to ensure continuity between shifts.
    • Respond to out-of-hours emergencies as part of on-call rota.
    • Maintain high standards of professionalism across all shift patterns.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical Skills
    • Recognized trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or building services engineering.
    • Proven multi-skilled maintenance experience in commercial office environments.
    • Strong understanding of building management systems, HVAC operations, and electrical/mechanical plant.
    • Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance schedules.
  • Professional Requirements
    • City & Guilds or equivalent technical certification in relevant disciplines.
    • Current health and safety qualifications (working at height, manual handling).
    • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations or equivalent mechanical certifications.
