Job Description Position- Mobile Gas Engineer
Location- New Castle, North, UK (Onsite)
Job Type- Fulltime
Shift timings- 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (There will also be a need to be on a ON-CALL rota for out of hours attendance in the event of emergency.)
Working days- 5 days
About the Role
We're looking for a qualified Mobile Gas Engineer to join our reactive maintenance team across the North. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality gas maintenance, repair, and installation services across a diverse commercial property portfolio, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to reactive maintenance requests for gas heating systems, boilers, and appliances across multiple client sites
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on gas equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and statutory requirements
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimize client downtime
Install, commission, and service commercial gas heating systems and appliances
Conduct gas safety checks and maintain accurate records of all work completed
Ensure all work complies with Gas Safety Regulations and relevant industry standards
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a high standard
Provide excellent customer service and represent JLL professionally at all times
Complete job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements accurately and promptly
Participate in an on-call rota as required
Essential Requirements
Gas Safe registered with relevant commercial qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A minimum)
Proven experience in commercial gas engineering
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Good understanding of health and safety legislation
Proficient in using mobile technology for job management
Desirable
Additional Gas Safe qualifications (CDGA1, CIGA1, TCPCP1)
Experience working across commercial office, retail, or mixed-use properties
Electrical qualifications (18th Edition)
PASMA or IPAF certification
