The technology advisory, sales and partnership functions typically work together to identify client needs, recommend appropriate technology solutions, guide implementation strategies, and drive revenue growth through both new client acquisition and expansion within existing accounts. The group drives client conversations around delivering business outcomes that leverage technology and data as a differentiator.
Role Purpose
The Senior Director, Tech Sales Advisory plays a critical role in driving technology adoption and revenue growth within the Property Management business. The role is aligned to priority accounts where growth potential, NPS, or other divisional priorities demand a high-performing leader capable of cross-functional CRE technology advisement. The role is centered on a technology advisory function to this subset of prioritized accounts to influence technology adoption and tech-enabled growth.
The Account Technology Advisor communicates and educates the technology strategy for JLL and the division as an integrated part of the account leadership teams. This position combines technical knowledge, consultative selling skills, and deep understanding of commercial real estate operations to help clients leverage technology solutions that transform how they manage, operate, and experience their real estate portfolios.
The role requires well-versed expertise across many domains of real estate and property management, culminating in the bringing together of multiple software products and services solutions to solve complex challenges. The role requires strategic problem-solving ability and established credibility in the Commercial Real Estate community that instills confidence and trust.
Key responsibilities include:
- Technology Advisory
- Serve as the lead technology advisor for the assigned geography or asset class and aligned accounts; build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Property Management business line and clients.
- Participate in internal as well as client meetings to drive awareness and adoption of JLL's technology strategy, platforms, and products.
- Define priorities for NPS improvements, internal education, growth planning and innovation.
- Develop account penetration strategies to grow share of wallet with business leaders.
- Own direct follow-up on client NPS pain points and feedback with concerted action plans.
- Educate clients and internal stakeholders on JLL's technology capabilities and their potential impact on business outcomes.
- Act as a liaison between clients, account teams, and JLL's technology divisions to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
- Contribute to the creation of technology-focused business cases and ROI analyses for clients.
- Serve as an Industry thought leader in industry events and client forums.
- Stay current with emerging CRE technologies and industry trends to maintain JLL's competitive edge.
- Technology Sales
- Support Property Management leadership and sales team with strategic guidance and solutioning technical components for complex or major pursuits.
- Bring together platform enablement technologies and others that are sold to the client for holistic solutions to client needs.
- Conduct discovery sessions with clients to understand their business challenges, operational pain points, and strategic objectives related to real estate and property management.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with regular client engagement at multiple organizational levels, from operational users to C-suite executives, tailoring communication and recommendations to each audience.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and business case analyses that articulate value propositions in terms clients understand.
- Collaborate closely with pre-sales technical teams, product specialists, and implementation consultants to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with client environments and align with product roadmaps.
- Participate in deal go-no go, deal strategy development for assigned priority accounts.
The Candidate Experience
- 5-7+ years of sales or sales solutioning experience at a large organization.
- Experience across multiple disciplines of corporate real estate and property management services, technologies and/or solutions.
- Proven capabilities in growing relationships at the senior executive level and C-Suite.
- Successful track record of achieving immediate credibility; presenting varying ideas to create value and challenge the status quo; and able to think quickly, listen well, and understand how to react and modify approach in front of clients and other key influencers.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and motivate others on a team and help them succeed.
- High attention to detail and very organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal presentation skills.
