Role Purpose

We're seeking a skilled and motivated Site Plumber to join our established engineering team supporting a prestigious central London site based on the Strand. You'll work autonomously and collaboratively, coordinating with client-approved contractors and providing technical expertise to both your line manager and the site facilities team. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, building fabric services, and a commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Operations
    • Execute reactive maintenance repairs efficiently across the site, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
    • Conduct regular inspections of plumbing services, proactively identifying and addressing issues before they escalate.
    • Maintain engineering standards to maximize plant efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.
    • Apply logical fault-finding techniques to diagnose and resolve complex plumbing issues.
  • Technical Delivery
    • Perform comprehensive plumbing tasks including toilet and basin repair/replacement, tap and blending valve work, auto tap fault finding, instantaneous water heater maintenance, HW calorifier servicing, pipework repair, pump and valve replacement, TRV and radiator work, lagging, unblocking, gutter cleaning, macerator replacement, and immersion heater replacement.
    • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks including pump servicing, UVHW calorifier inspections, blending valve servicing, temperature testing and flushing, instantaneous water heater maintenance, AC/AHU filter replacement, emergency light testing, and functional equipment inspections.
    • Source and quote for necessary parts and equipment, ensuring cost-effective procurement.
    • Update and close completed reactive and PPM tasks within the client's CAFM system.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure strict adherence to JLL and client Health & Safety procedures at all times.
    • Maintain compliance with company QA and site-specific procedures.
    • Produce detailed, accurate reports documenting remedial works requirements.
    • Update on-site logbooks for compliance purposes and complete all required certificates and documentation.
    • Develop and complete on-site Method Statements and Risk Assessments as necessary.
    • Work consistently to recognized industry standards.
  • Collaboration & Development
    • Coordinate effectively with client-approved contractors to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Provide technical guidance and advice to line management and facilities teams.
    • Support other trades as required to ensure overall site operational excellence.
    • Participate in ongoing training including health and safety courses and professional development to maintain current knowledge and qualifications (CPD).
    • Maintain all company-issued tools in safe, working condition.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualifications
    • C&G 6035 Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies or recognized equivalent qualification/apprenticeship.
    • BPEC Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
    • UVHW Certificate.
    • Legionella / L8 Qualification.
  • Experience & Knowledge
    • Extensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems.
    • Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
    • Basic electrical skills (advantageous).
