We are looking for an Assistant Property Accountant to join our Property Accounting team within Financial Management in Norwich. You'll play a vital role in reporting and maintaining financial controls. You'll produce insightful reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. You'll engage with structured learning and training to support your ongoing development. You'll also collaborate with finance and surveyors, building strong relationships and resolving any issues that arise.
What this job involves:
- Supporting financial operations and reporting requirements, including Trial Balance & VAT reports.
- Assisting with creation and delivery of ad hoc reporting to other internal and external stakeholders, such as surveyors and solicitors, as required.
- Review and reconciliation of tenant and landlord direct recoveries.
- Supporting day-to-day queries from clients & occupiers.
- Performing any other accounting and administrative duties as needed in support of the property portfolio.
- Assisting Property Accountants & Senior Property Accountants in the service delivery across the team portfolio.
- Maintaining Financial Controls.
- Engaging with Stakeholders & Wider Teams.
Desired skills and experience for this job:
- Strong Excel skills (including working knowledge of pivot tables, V-Lookups, X-Lookups and other similar formulae).
- Working knowledge of MS Office (including Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams etc.).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be flexible and able to work under pressure, multi-task and effectively prioritise.
- Organised, with attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Able to use own initiative to resolve day-to-day issues.
- AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent, with aspirations for further studies.
- Knowledge of Client Systems (Yardi/MRI/Horizon) would be advantageous.
