What this job involves:
We are recruiting a Senior Authorising Persons - High Voltage (HV) to work across our UK Rolls-Royce contract sites. You will manage high voltage networks β 33KV, 11KV, and 6.6KV. As a Senior Authorising Person (SAP), you will be a subject matter expert in high voltage, delivering asset management, planned, and reactive maintenance across UK sites. Your role includes ensuring 100% adherence to contract KPIs, developing our supply chain and self-delivery capabilities, and maintaining client communications and reporting.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing operation, isolation, discharging, proving dead of systems and equipment within the limits specified on the SAP Certificate of Appointment.
- Identifying safety hazards and specifying control measures based on activities and safety documentation.
- Monitoring and managing routine and reactive maintenance for HV and LV infrastructure, ensuring timely completion of remedial tasks.
- Supporting the implementation of Electrical Safety, Systems, and Engineering policies and guidance for the UK.
- Auditing engineers' work and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, legislation, and best practices.
- Advising procurement on contractor standards for electrical engineering.
- Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Assessing authorised persons and skilled persons to ensure technical competence and understanding of safety requirements.
- Ensuring all systems are operated and maintained safely, reporting any dangerous situations.
- Maintaining records, registers, schedules, and schematic drawings.
- Monitoring electrical risks and developing mitigation business cases.
- Providing maintenance standards advice and updating stakeholders on regulations and best practices.
- Acting as the company principal duty holder for NIC EIC.
Qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience managing HV & LV networks in industrial properties.
- Relevant professional, technical, or management qualifications or experience.
- Management experience with team leadership capabilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of M&E, building services, and industry standards.
- Excellent QHSE and risk management skills.
- Effective communication and people management skills.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Innovative, improvement-focused, and able to implement solutions.
- Ability to represent JLL effectively at meetings.
