Role Location: Friars Bridge Court, 41‑43 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NZ.
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8AM-4PM, full time.
Role Responsibilities:
- Take delivery of Medical Gas cylinders, move to allocated usage area and connect to pipelines.
- Disconnect empty cylinders and move to designated locked storage for collection.
- Receive and acknowledge deliveries of Pathology related goods and distribute to the relevant laboratories as required.
- Replenish stock in laboratory cold and ambient stores and working areas as necessary.
- Monitor stock levels of consumables and inform relevant managers if reordering is required.
- Escalate any issues encountered to the Soft Service Supervisor without delay.
- Work alongside cleaning team to ensure dirty laboratory coats are prepared for collection at agreed intervals and that clean coats are placed in the correct storage areas.
- Use the site CAFM System to raise, progress and complete work tasks.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are always followed, including manual handling, wearing the correct PPE, site‑specific uniform and suitable footwear.
- Complete statutory tasks and IT‑related training.
- Report Near Miss / Good catches in line with Integral good practice.
- Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
- Complete any other associated task requested by the management team, including taking an active role in team meetings and activities.
