As Apprentice Electrical Engineer you will work under the supervision of experienced electrical and building professionals to learn the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting across a range of electrical equipment.

  • Assist electrical engineers with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial buildings.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and recommend process improvements.

About the apprenticeship:

You will be studying towards a Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship in Abingdon or Whitney. You may be expected to travel to different sites within a geographical region. In addition to developing your core engineering skills, you will be expected to support diverse and general maintenance activities across our facilities as part of JLL's comprehensive Total Facilities Management (TFM) service delivery. This may include routine inspections, basic repairs, equipment servicing, and assisting with preventive maintenance schedules. These responsibilities will provide valuable hands-on experience across the full spectrum of facilities management while contributing to overall operational efficiency and will complement your technical development as you progress through the apprenticeship program.

Note: You may be required to complete a DBS check, at either basic or enhanced level, depending on the location you will be working in.
