We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. This role involves hands-on mechanical maintenance, fabrication work, and ensuring optimal building performance across multiple FM sites. You will be part of a 10-person team with 7 engineers, working on both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day mechanical maintenance and repairs across multiple facility management sites
- Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to industry standards
- Respond to reactive maintenance calls efficiently and effectively
- Undertake mechanical and fabric-related tasks including minor fabrication work
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work flexibly across shift patterns to meet operational requirements
- Qualifications & Certifications: City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification; Relevant mechanical trade certification
- Experience: Proven experience in facilities management environments; Hands-on experience with mechanical systems maintenance; Background in fabrication work; Track record of PPM and reactive maintenance delivery
- Working Arrangements: Ability to work flexible shift patterns: Early shift (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM) and Day shift (10:00 AM - 7:00 PM); Willingness to work overtime as required (weekdays at 1.5x rate, weekends at 2x rate); 40-hour working week with appropriate breaks
- Asbestos Awareness (Level 1) certification
- PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) certification
- IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification
