Join the growing London Design team at Tétris as a Senior Technical Designer. We're looking for someone with strong experience in workplace and retail design - a detail-focused, technical designer who thrives in a fast-paced Design & Build environment and is ready to step into a senior role within a global organisation.

You’ll lead the technical delivery of high-quality projects across workplace, retail, and specialist sectors (including labs and beyond), ensuring every detail is coordinated, buildable, and aligned with design intent. You’ll bring expert technical knowledge and strong communication skills, with the ability to translate creative vision into construction-ready packages that stand up on site.

You’ll be actively involved in projects from concept through to construction issue, working closely with concept designers, estimators, project managers, and delivery teams. As a senior team member, you’ll also help shape technical standards and best practice, supporting less experienced designers and collaborating closely with colleagues across Tétris, JLL, and our wider consultant and contractor network.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Technical Design Delivery
    • Work closely with the Technical Director to deliver high-profile projects with precision and rigour.
    • Produce detailed technical drawing packages including GA plans, RCPs, joinery details, partitions, elevations, and bespoke elements.
    • Ensure all design information is coordinated, accurate, and compliant with building regulations and industry standards.
    • Lead technical design stages from concept development through to construction issue.
  • Coordination & Collaboration
    • Work closely with concept designers to maintain design integrity while ensuring buildability.
    • Liaise with project managers, QS teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
    • Attend site visits to review progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure technical accuracy.
    • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver seamless, fully coordinated technical packages.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Champion best practice in technical design, documentation, and drawing standards.
    • Ensure all technical information aligns with H&S requirements, CDM, and statutory compliance.
    • Review and sign off technical information.
    • Maintain Tétris technical standards across all project outputs.
  • Innovation & Problem Solving
    • Develop creative technical solutions that balance design ambition with practical delivery.
    • Stay up to date with materials, construction methods, and workplace design trends.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of technical processes and standards.
    • Identify and report risks to the Technical Director, operating in compliance with ethical practices.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in workplace and/or retail interior design, ideally within a Design & Build environment.
  • Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • A deep understanding of construction detailing, building regulations, and technical coordination.
  • Solid knowledge of UK building regulations and buildability.
  • Ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawing packages under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Positive, driven, and calm under pressure - able to manage multiple workstreams.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional workplace and retail environments.
  • Invested in personal and team development - contributes to a positive technical design culture.

It is thanks to the professionalism, commitment, and team spirit of each individual that we maintain the trust of our clients day after day and are proud to be the leader in the commercial property market today.

We believe that our corporate culture, working environment, management and development opportunities are essential to the development of our talent and the long-term success of our business.
