An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to carry out the PPM and Reactive activities in accordance with our contractual agreements on a site at RAF Marham.
Day to day duties for this role include but are not limited to:
- Maintain a close liaison and working relationship with the Engineering Team, Contract Delivery Manager and Engineering Manager.
- Attend all allocated Internal/External training courses.
- Completion of SFG20/HTM PPMs, reactive and proactive tasks and in turn update the CAFM system via PDA to meet contractual obligations.
- Ensure that daily checks are completed and repair or report any defects using the helpdesk or reactive works ticketing system via PDA.
- Maintain accurate records for both PPM and reactive works.
- Ensure Electrical engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise efficient operation and reliability of plant and associated systems.
- Ensure any accidents and near misses are reported to line managers.
- Maintain and supervise issues arising, ongoing works, special task requests, standard of housekeeping.
- Comply with both statutory and company health, safety and environmental regulations and policies.
- Timely implementation and recording of all statutory inspections including accurate recording of all electrical work undertaken.
- Where necessary be available to attend out of hours calls when required and provide site cover OOH on planned event days.
- Control of 3rd party contractors including monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing where applicable in conjunction with the Contract Delivery Manager / Engineering Manager.
- Ensure that Specialist Service Provider worksheets are signed off that quality of work is inspected, and recommendations are escalated to the Contract Delivery Manager.
- Ensure that Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are kept to the highest level of housekeeping.
- Will be expected to operate, and troubleshoot all building systems but not be limited to the following: BMS and electrical monitoring, Air handling/conditioning, Domestic water services, Fire prevention and detection systems, AC, DC single phase and three phase systems, associated controls, Low voltage switch gear and medical equipment as required.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation.
- C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred) or 2330 Levels 2 & 3.
- 18th edition certificate.
- Basic plumbing skills.
- Strong Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
- Knowledge of building fabric and experience in carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required.
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities.
- Must be prepared to work out of hours when required and participate in a call out rota.
- Have good communication and organisation skills.
- Have a positive can do attitude.
- Ability to work on own or as part of a team.
