Based – Derby (onsite Rolls-Royce)

Hours - 40hrs per week (Monday to Friday)

What this job involves:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical engineer to carry out service maintenance works on commercial sites in Derby. The successful candidate will provide a professional service to our clients working on a varied selection of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
  • Conduct regular testing and inspection of low voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes. Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in low voltage electrical systems, using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques. Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime, increase system reliability, and extend the lifespan of low voltage electrical systems. Create and maintain maintenance schedules.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Comply with electrical regulations, codes, and standards to ensure safety and minimize risks. Report any hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction. Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders, and equipment inventory. Ensure that relevant documentation and records are up to date.

Experience:

  • C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (or Equivalent)
  • C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred)
  • 18th edition
  • Strong Electrical & HVAC experience
  • Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
  • Knowledge of building fabric and experience in carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations about maintenance activities
  • Must be prepared to work out of hours when required
  • Have good communication and organisation skills
  • Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Must have a full UK driving license
  • Ability to work on own or as part of a team
