Overview
Based – Filton, Bristol (onsite Rolls-Royce). Hours: 40hrs per week (Monday to Friday).
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to carry out service maintenance works on the Rolls-Royce contract in Bristol. The successful candidate will provide a professional service to our clients working on a varied selection of electrical systems.
What this job involves
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
- Testing and Inspection: Conduct regular testing and inspection of low voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes. Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately.
- Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in low voltage electrical systems, using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques. Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
- Preventive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime, increase system reliability, and extend the lifespan of low voltage electrical systems. Create and maintain maintenance schedules.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Comply with electrical regulations, codes, and standards to ensure safety and minimize risks. Report any hazards or incidents promptly.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction. Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required. Documentation and
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders, and equipment inventory. Ensure that relevant documentation and records are up to date.
Experience
- C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (Or Equivalent)
- C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred)
- 18th edition
- Strong Electrical & HVAC experience
- Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
- Knowledge of building fabric and experience in carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations about maintenance activities
- Must be prepared to work out of hours when required
- Have good communication and organisation skills
- Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Must have a full UK driving license
- Ability to work on own or as part of a team
