Gas Engineering Supervisor responsible for leading a team of gas engineers and technicians across JLL's London commercial property portfolio. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team management, ensuring safe and compliant gas system operations while delivering exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate a team of Gas engineers and other technicians across multiple commercial sites in London.
- Conduct complex gas system diagnostics, repairs, and installations on commercial heating and hot water systems.
- Ensure all gas work complies with Gas Safety Regulations and relevant industry standards.
- Carry out gas safety inspections, testing, and certification across assigned property portfolio.
- Upkeep of Gas compliant Sharepoint including warning notice tracker, Technician gas training and calibration of team equipment.
- Carry out Gas and other audits on the team and any investigations.
- 100% check of all Gas paperwork and certificates.
- Attend monthly Gas forum meetings.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex gas engineering issues.
- Liaise with clients, building managers, and contractors to coordinate gas maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergency gas situations and coordinate rapid resolution teams.
- Monitor team performance and conduct regular safety briefings and training sessions.
Essential Requirements:
- Gas Safe registered engineer with domestic and commercial gas qualifications (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, COCN1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, CORT1, CDGA1, CIGA1 and TPCP1A).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial gas engineering.
- Full UK driving license essential.
- Strong knowledge of commercial gas systems, boilers, and heating controls.
- Experience with large-scale commercial heating systems and plant room operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings and system schematics.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Experience working within facilities management or similar commercial environment preferred.
