Fabric Maintenance Engineer β Site Based
Location: Peterborough β PE1
Core Hours: 08:00am-18:00pm
Shift Pattern in rotation:
5 days On β 3 days off x 4
4 days on β 4 days off x 3 Role Purpose
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
β’ General Carpentry
β’ Fire door maintenance and repair
β’ Weekly fire alarm testing
β’ Weekly tap flushing
β’ AHU Cleaning & Servicing
β’ Basic plumbing and drainage repairs
β’ Patch repairs to wall and floor tiling, carpets, lino & screeds
β’ Suspended ceiling repairs
β’ Shelving /racking
β’ Lock changes/repairs
β’ Painting & Decorating
β’ Working hours as part of the sites shift pattern.
β’ To carry out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with the companyβs PPM and task schedules.
β’ Undertake PPM activity in a quality, professional manner.
β’ Production of technical and situational reports as required.
β’ Proactively use the technology systems given to you so that the Company can be always compliant with its contractual obligations.
β’ Carry out the works always requested in a professional and proactive manner.
β’ To always communicate clearly and effectively with the rest of the team and clients.
β’ Provide first line out of hours call out for the site.
β’ Writing activity reports in line with Company procedures accurately and timely.
β’ Proactively assisting the management team to produce quotations by giving accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified.
β’ Attending team meetings/briefings as requested.
β’ To provide accurate time sheet information weekly and on time
β’ To ensure that the Company is always presented in a good light.
β’ Undertake reactive maintenance works as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team.
β’ To escalate any major site issues or incidents to your line manager asap once noticed.
β’ To manage Integral sub-contractors whilst working on site
β’ Understand and be aware of the requirements of all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and are equally aware of their own roles and responsibilities within the Company.
β’ Ensure that all materials and equipment are handled, stored, and used with due regard to the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
β’ Actively participate in the health and safety processes required under the Company policies and procedures on portfolio including, but not limited to, accident investigation, reporting, risk assessments and auditing
β’ Any other reasonable instruction from the Contract Manager or his Line Managers.
β’ Co-operating with the company to allow it to fulfil its moral and legal duties and obligations.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
β’ Fabric Engineer apprenticeship/ Carpentry & Joinery qualifications
β’ Proven post apprenticeship practical experience
β’ Good communication & interpersonal skills
β’ Commitment to providing a high-quality service to our customer.
β’ Willing to work flexibly and as a team member.
β’ Ability to work overtime as required.
β’ Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
β’ Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
β’ Have good IT and report writing skills.
β’ Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
