Role Purpose

Responsible for the safe execution of concurrent projects for various sites. As part of the role, the site manager must ensure that the projects are delivered to meet JLL Workplace Management UK&I and client standards in regards to safety, quality and programme, whilst complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation. Site managers must be qualified in a related trade, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, building fabric, roofing etc. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years industry experience and a demonstrable career, ideally working on Design and Build infrastructure, civil engineering, fabric or fit out projects for well-established clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Health and safety leadership to your site delivery team and promote behavioural safety improvements.
  • Support the project risk management process and ensure effective controls are established to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the project.
  • Support project opportunities where identified, to realise, maintain and improve the commercial project performance.
  • Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company's reputation at site level.
  • Support where required the mandatory reporting of KPI's, Good Catches/Near Misses (GC/NM), accidents and incidents as per JLL Workplace Management UK&I and Client procedures.
  • Ensure our suppliers, sub-contractors and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Engineering standards.
  • Carry out regular toolbox talks.
  • Carry out daily activity briefings for sub-contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of works done and expenditure reporting this information to the project manager where applicable.
  • Liaise with the project manager to order general materials as required to complete the project.
  • Co-ordinate all activities on site.
  • Issue permits in compliance with CDM.
  • Liaise with the Client's Project Manager to ensure that the works are delivered in accordance with the workbook.
  • Carry out regular site manager safety audits and report findings to the management/safety team.
  • Ensure a high level of service is delivered and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Deliver projects to programme as set by the senior management team.
