We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom. As a Mechanical Engineer at JLL, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, repairing, and optimizing steam boiler systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor plumbing systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing equipment to assess performance and identify issues.
- Monitor and adjust controls, such as water level, pressure, and temperature, to maintain optimal conditions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Preventive Maintenance and Repairs:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot boiler malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and equipment installations.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer / Plumber or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing maintenance and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (Health and Safety Executive, Pressure Systems Safety Regulations).
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficiency in interpreting and analysing data and performance metrics.
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
Education and Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in Plumbing or Mechanical operations and maintenance (City and Guilds Level 3, BOAS).
