We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Manchester. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role working within a team of approximately 14 people in a busy production environment. The position offers a four-day working week, giving you every Friday off.
The Role
- Working within the lead production and manufacturing process
- Assisting with melting raw lead using industrial furnace equipment
- Feeding heated lead into strip casting machinery
- Monitoring the production process as lead is formed into strips
- Handling and moving materials throughout the production area
- Regular manual handling and lifting of materials weighing approximately 15–30kg
- Following all site health & safety procedures
- Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised
- Working closely with the wider production team to meet daily targets
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable working in a physical manufacturing environment. Previous experience within production, manufacturing, factory, warehouse or industrial environments would be beneficial. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be comfortable with regular manual handling and working around industrial machinery and high-temperature processes.
