We are seeking a motivated and proactive Carrier Development Executive to join our growing logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and managing relationships with road freight carriers across Europe, helping to expand and strengthen our transport network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and recruit new owner-drivers and transport companies across Europe.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing carriers.
  • Manage and update the carrier database, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Use freight exchanges, telephone, email, and industry contacts to identify new transport providers.
  • Monitor carrier performance and maintain relevant compliance documentation.
  • Support operational and commercial teams by providing carrier solutions for customer requirements, quotations, and tenders.
  • Create and maintain carrier distribution lists based on country, equipment type, and service capability.
  • Assist with carrier reviews and ongoing supplier management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within logistics, transport, freight forwarding, or a similar industry.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and transport-related systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of European road freight markets would be advantageous.
