Supply Chain Planner Salary: Β£32,640 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week, MondayFriday, 8:30am5:00pm Holiday: 6.6 weeks per annum We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing national business for a Supply Chain Planner to join their Planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical, Excel and organisational skills who is looking to develop their career within supply chain. Youll be responsible for ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain excellent availability while effectively controlling inventory and costs. The Role As a Supply Chain Planner, you will manage the end-to-end planning and supply of approximately 5501,500 SKUs , while building and maintaining relationships with 50100 suppliers and ensuring sufficient stock is available across multiple locations. Your responsibilities will include: Analysing historical data and market trends to forecast future product demand. Maintaining optimal inventory levels while working towards approximately 20 stock days. Monitoring stock availability and supplier performance. Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Identifying potential supply shortages, transportation delays and other risks, taking action to minimise disruption. Managing stock movements between locations to maximise availability and sales. Highlighting problem or obsolete stock and working with internal teams to find effective solutions. Supporting forecasting for key customers, promotions and seasonal demand. Making commercially sound purchasing decisions and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Contributing towards high supplier service levels and overall supply chain performance. What Were Looking For You don't necessarily need to already be an experienced Supply Chain Planner. We're particularly interested in candidates with strong analytical ability, excellent Excel skills and the potential to develop within the role . You will ideally have: Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data. Good numeracy, IT and administration skills. Some exposure to supply planning principles. The ability to analyse large datasets, identify trends and make informed decisions. Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused approach. Excellent organisation and time-management skills. Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work to deadlines. Previous experience within supply chain planning, forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, procurement or logistics would be advantageous but isn't essential. Experience with supply chain planning software such as SAP, Oracle or JDA , data-analysis tools or a CIPS Level 3 qualification would also be beneficial. Salary
