IT Services Manager – Energy Infrastructure

Ready to lead IT operations for one of the UK’s most impactful green energy projects? We’re hiring an IT Services Manager to spearhead IT excellence. This role would suit an IT Services Manager with a strong background in Systems Administration support, with demonstrable experience of shaping and delivering IT services within a multi-divisional business.
As IT Services Manager, you’ll:
- Work proactively with suppliers to address any service gaps, ensuring effective delivery
- Actively maintain Service Level Agreements to align with business priorities
- Proactively identify opportunities for service improvements and collaborate with partners to implement them
- Manage the IT support team members and tech bars
- Understand IT cost drivers and recommend cost-effective service delivery
- Serve as the primary interface between the business and partners for IT services issue escalation
- Maintain visibility of risks related to operational application services, identifying effective mitigation and appropriate escalation
- Define system performance measures and monitor, measure, and report on IT systems performance, including oversight of third-party support contracts
- Ensure the successful transition of IT Services from delivery to operations
We’re looking for a strategic IT leader who brings:
- A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- A Systems Admin support background and experience of managing IT support teams, ideally within critical infrastructure
- Accredited in ITIL, Prince2, APMP or similar
- Proven track record of service improvement and vendor management
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, JIRA, and agile methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and reporting skills
- Eligibility for BPSS – security clearance
