Operating across eight quality‑assured practices in Central Queensland – from Yeppoon to Rockhampton, Emerald, and Gladstone – we also partner closely with our sister network, Sunshine Coast Radiology.
About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Technical Assistant with excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills to join our team at Rockhampton. You will be highly motivated with a strong focus on patient care, and the ability to work well in a team environment. This is a full‑time position working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am to 4.00pm (38 hours per week) located between our busy private and Hospital practices.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Assist Radiologists and Radiographers and other Health Professionals to conduct procedures in MRI, CT and other areas of the department.
- Procedure documentation and coordination with the Radiologists
- Cannulation of patients (training can be provided)
- Handling specimens and coordination with pathology for delivery
- Assist support staff with clerical, record and accounts keeping and the maintenance of patient files as required
- Cleaning to maintain high level of health standards in the department
- Stock ordering
About You
- Previous medical assistant experience is essential or working toward a medical degree
- Previous experience in Radiology highly regarded
- Ability to promote and maintain high standards of patient care
- High level of personal and interpersonal communication
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks in a timely manner and to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
