About the role We are recruiting for a full time , office based Accounts Payable Clerk to look after the purchase accounting duties for a defined portfolio of our clients, including invoicing processing, credit card transaction processing, staff expenses processing and payment processing amongst other tasks.
General Duties Set up and maintain supplier and employee ledger accounts in accordance with policy; Ensuring all supplier and employee bank details held are correct and verified; Monitoring relevant AP inboxes; Processing Purchase Ledger invoices and expenses onto system in accordance with policy; Preparation of draft payment runs for client approval; Loading the approved payment run into the client banking system and chasing client for their banking authorisation; Process credit card transactions onto the ledger; Provide administration support to the department; Investigating queries; Posting journals; Supplier statement reconciliations.
Essential Skills A minimum of 2+ years experience in a similar role; Fast and accurate data entry skills with a keen eye for detail; Comfortable with learning and developing new systems and processes; Excellent interpersonal skills are required Be comfortable dealing with people of all levels, internally as well as externally; Computer literate with sound knowledge of Word and Excel; Previous experience of all round finance roles would be an advantage; Experience of Sun, Sage or Netsuite accounting packages would be an advantage.
