A leading national Logistics organisation based in Warrington are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting to an experienced Financial Controller, the successful candidate will assist with the preparation of financial reports, take ownership of day-to-day accounting tasks, and support the wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Support month-end close processes, including journal postings, accruals, and prepayments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing analysis and insights to aid financial planning.
Key Requirements:
- Part-qualified and working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Proven experience within a previous accounting role.
- Experience of month end close process.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
