About the Company – Our client, a well-established retail business based in Manchester City Centre, are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead their finance function and support strategic decision-making. Reporting into an experienced Finance Director, this role will manage a small team with oversight of all accounting activities across the group, including accounting operations across the transactional finance team. Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and month end reporting. Manage and provide leadership to the finance team, ensuring efficient workflow and development of team members. Have full oversight of all accounting activities across the group, including accounting operations across the transactional finance team. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and company policies. Manage cash flow, risk assessment, and cost control measures. Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth. Key audit stakeholder management, being a key point of contact with our auditors and allocating queries appropriately throughout the business. Other ad hoc projects as and when required assisting finance and other departments. Proven experience in a finance leadership role. Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) required. Experience in managing and mentoring a finance team, including oversight of transactional finance operations.
