- SEND and SEMH Tutors to support children and young people across
Trafford and the surrounding areas . Due to a significant increase in demand, we have a growing number of long-term tuition opportunities supporting
- Looked After Children (LAC) , pupils with
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) , and young people with
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who are currently unable to access mainstream education.
This is a highly rewarding role where you\'ll provide personalised, one-to-one tuition, helping students rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning and achieve positive educational outcomes.
The Role
As a tutor, you will
- Deliver engaging, personalised one-to-one lessons tailored to each student\'s individual needs.
- Plan sessions in line with the National Curriculum where appropriate.
- Adapt your teaching style to support a range of learning abilities and additional needs.
- Deliver English and Maths tuition up to GCSE level.
- Support pupils working below age-related expectations to build confidence and make measurable progress.
- Develop positive, trusting relationships that encourage engagement and improve learning outcomes.
- Record progress and communicate effectively with the wider support team where required.
- What We\'re Looking For
We\'re keen to hear from candidates who have
- A UK-recognised teaching qualification or demonstrable experience delivering high-quality tuition.
- Previous experience supporting students with
SEND and/or SEMH needs (essential).
- Strong English and Maths subject knowledge.
- The ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, resilient and compassionate approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
