The predicted salary is between 25 - 25 £ per hour.
We are looking for a patient, nurturing HLTA to provide one-to-one support for a pupil in West Sussex. You will work in a close, collaborative team alongside the pupil's parent and specialist tutor using a nurturing, pupil‑centred approach.
What you'll do:
- Comfortably take daily direction from the pupil's parent and tutor as a higher level teaching assistant.
- Accurately document learning and achievements.
- Potentially assist with personal care needs once you have fully built the pupil's trust.
- Use indirect language and choices to help the pupil feel safe and manage demands.
What you'll need:
- HLTA qualification or strong, relevant SEN experience.
- Experience working with ASD and PDA profile and anxiety.
- A calm, flexible and patient nature.
- Willingness to provide personal care with dignity.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to get one).
