Salary:         £30,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + Commission + Benefits

The Role

You’ll take ownership of a specialist market, building your client portfolio and developing the knowledge, network and credibility to shape its growth.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Building your client portfolio by identifying organisations where Ativo can add genuine value.
• Exploring opportunities to work with new clients, from ambitious start-ups and growing businesses to established global enterprises.
• Developing existing accounts through strong delivery, greater understanding and continued client engagement.
• Working closely with decision-makers to understand their organisations, growth plans and evolving talent needs.
• Building specialist candidate networks and creating opportunities that reflect individual ambitions as well as client requirements.
• Managing the recruitment process from initial conversation through to successful placement and ongoing support.
• Staying close to the technologies, skills and developments shaping your market.
• Sharing insight, knowledge and opportunities across the wider Ativo team.

About You

You may currently work within engineering, energy, power, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, technology or another specialist recruitment field. You understand the fundamentals of recruitment, but you’re looking for the opportunity to become closer to clients, broaden your influence and build something with greater long-term potential.

You’ll bring:

• Experience as a recruitment consultant, whether managing the full recruitment lifecycle or ready to take greater ownership of client relationships.
• The confidence to open conversations and explore where new client relationships could develop.
• Experience of account management and growing accounts through delivery, credibility and a clear understanding of client needs.
• A genuine interest in your specialist market and the curiosity to keep learning as technologies and industries evolve.
• Sound judgement and the ability to offer honest, considered advice to clients and candidates.
• A strong sense of personal responsibility for the quality of your work and the experience you create.
• Commercial ambition balanced by patience, professionalism and long-term thinking.
• A collaborative approach, with a willingness to share knowledge, contribute ideas and support collective success.

You don’t need experience across every market Ativo supports. What matters is a credible recruitment foundation, the ability to build professional relationships and the ambition to develop into a recognised specialist within your field.
