RATES: £12.81 per hour

JOB ROLE: Refuse Collector
SHIFTS: Monday to Friday
SHIFT TIMES: 06:00 – 15:00
REQUIRMENTS:
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Reliability, punctuality, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a crew.
- Previous waste collection or manual labour experience may be beneficial but is often not essential.
DUTIES:
- Collecting household, commercial, and recyclable waste from designated routes.
- Loading waste and recycling materials onto collection vehicles.
- Emptying bins, wheelie bins, and waste containers safely.
- Returning bins to their correct locations after collection.
- Assisting the driver with route navigation and vehicle manoeuvring when required.
- Identifying and reporting hazardous waste, damaged bins, or collection issues.
- Maintaining cleanliness in collection areas and helping prevent litter during collections.
- Using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
